Q. We are looking for a relaxed approach to our wedding, what is your style of photography?
A. I specialise in a relaxed reportage style with over 10 years experience of shooting totally reportage style storybook weddings.  My philosophy is simple:  No compromises,  1 top quality service with an unlimited photo shoot and you keep a cd gallery with every proof image, often 500+ photographs. Our storybook wedding albums capture real emotions along with all of the detail of your wedding day, presented in an individual artistic album and safely archived onto digital disc for future generations.
Q. Why is wedding photography so expensive, when we can take a roll of film to Boots for under ten pounds?

A. There are many elements that make your wedding photography special: Years of training and a natural eye for good composition, understanding of light, and technical knowledge to create natural imagery in any of the vastly varied conditions from each wedding.

Use of top quality professional cameras and lenses. At each wedding we shoot with 2 cameras using top quality pro L series lenses.  Every stage of the process, from development of raw files through to the final hand printed enlargements, is conducted with meticulous attention to detail using top quality materials.

We shoot a lot of images to create a true wedding storybook. Often around 500+  images. (beware of cheaper photographers offering a relaxed style with fixed packages of 50 shots, reportage can not be done well with limited shooting.) You keep a copy of everything we shoot, both digital hi resolution originals and all traditional proof prints.
You get to keep everything that we shoot, including all proof prints, contact sheets as well as the original full high
resolution digital files on CD & DVD which enable you to obtain your own reprints at anytime.

All of these elements along with the costs of albums, and expensive professional materials all add up, along with our time! (your actual wedding day only accounts for 1/4 of the total time we spend on your completed photography)
Ultimately your wedding is a one off major event. One of the few occasions that will bring together all of your friends and family. The recording of this unique piece of history should not be left to chance and is worth a little extra.

Q. We have a friend who takes good photographs and is keen to do our wedding photos, why do we need to pay for a professional?
A. That's a lot of pressure to place on a friend! Friends or family members will usually not have the experience to capture all of the fun and detail of your wedding. They probably would not be able to react fast enough to capture those spontaneous fun moments and would be too involved and distracted by the day to continually be alert and aware of candid reportage images. It is also unlikely that they would possess the professional equipment necessary to carry out all processes of the photography with top quality. I shoot reportage weddings with at least two top quality digital cameras each costing £4000+ each! along with traditional film cameras, Pro-series lenses & back up equipment in excess of £20 000.
You really do need all of this equipment and back up, to do a full reportage coverage and to cater for every eventuality.
Q. What precautions and assurances do you have to avoid photographic failure?
A. We carry back up cameras and a variety of equipment to deal with any situation. All imagery is double backed up and archived after the shoot.  Most importantly I thoroughly plan and prepare for your wedding day to ensure that all goes smoothly within your time scale.
Q. How long does the photography take?
A. Reportage photography is natural and ongoing coverage throughout your day. Photography can be continuous throughout your day without any limits on the number of photographs taken. I can arrange a few relaxed portraits and family groups, usually after you have relaxed for 15 minutes after coming out of church. For any specific family shots and poses allow approximately 30 minutes.
Q. What do we have to decide on prior to our wedding?
A. Just that you want relaxed natural photography of your wedding day!
I am totally flexible and can tailor a photoshoot to cater for your specific requirements. On the day I shoot  unlimited photography, you see and keep all proof shots on CD rom when you return from your travels. From these you can then choose exactly how many images you wish to include in an album and let friends and family order their own photos or album. Once the proofs and your order are returned to us your finished album and order will take about 2-3 weeks to complete.
Q. Can you offer a more contemporary storybook style wedding album?
A. All of our albums are of a less traditional fuss free style with simple plain binders and pages. We can also prepare photo montages mounted onto boards and displayed in a folio case or boxed folio. We stock the renowned Mario Acerboni Italian range of albums.  You are also quite welcome to use your own design of album.

Q. How do we reserve our wedding date and can we book our photography online?

A. Just contact us for a booking form or download it online and return to us with the £250 booking fee, we will then send you a confirmation and arrange to discuss your requirements with you before your wedding.
